Who This Receptacle Is For
This model makes the most sense for buyers looking for a large, stationary waste receptacle with a refined commercial appearance. The 30-gallon capacity suits areas that generate more waste than a small office bin can handle, while the open top supports quick disposal without a foot pedal or swinging lid.
Its curved profile and choice of black, silver, or white make it easier to coordinate with a range of workplace interiors. For visible waste stations, the lid helps maintain a seamless look by concealing the bag inside the receptacle.
Features That Matter When Comparing Options
- 30-gallon capacity: Provides ample room for busy offices, reception areas, and shared workplace zones.
- Steel construction: The 18-gauge steel frame gives the receptacle a substantial commercial form.
- Powder-coated finish: The finish is designed for durability and helps resist chipping and scratching.
- Removable lid: The lid pulls off easily to hide the waste bag and provide access to the liner.
- Rigid plastic liner: The included liner supports easy bag removal and routine maintenance.
- No assembly required: The receptacle arrives as a ready-to-use waste solution.
Size and Placement Considerations
The receptacle measures 20 inches wide by 20 inches deep and 33.25 inches high. Its round footprint is compact relative to its capacity, but buyers should still allow enough clearance around the 8.5-by-12-inch top opening for comfortable use.
At 45 pounds, this is a substantial receptacle intended for a defined waste-collection point rather than frequent repositioning. Its proportions work best where users can approach the opening from multiple directions, such as near an entry area, reception desk, or shared office zone.
Why Choose the Safco 9920BL
The Safco 9920BL is a strong choice when appearance, capacity, and straightforward maintenance need to work together. It avoids the exposed-bag look common to basic waste containers while retaining the convenience of an open top. The included rigid plastic liner also simplifies bag changes and helps keep the steel exterior separate from everyday waste.
Buyers who need a high-capacity receptacle with a coordinated workplace appearance should place this model on their shortlist. Those seeking a smaller container, recycling separation, or foot-operated disposal may need a different configuration, but the 30-gallon Open Top Receptacle is well matched to visible, high-use waste areas where a clean presentation matters.
